  • raptor 30 engine problem

hi..having just purchased this thunder raptor 30 helecopter I had it hovering initialy after going through all the settings as it wasn't set up at all when I got it..now it has developed an engine fault..it wont rev above about 2/5 throttle.it seems to idle ok and rev to about the 2/5 mark, from then it splutters and dies..it dosent even give enough rotor speed to attempt hover..i have to partialy close off the exhaust outlet to give extra exhaust pressure in the fuel tank for it to start...after running for several minutes a puddle of fuel sits in the exhaust chamber..im thinking this is either an exhaust fault not pressurising the fuel tank tank correctly or a worn engine...this is my first nitro model so any help would be appreciated

Sounds like your engine is too rich if your exhaust is full of fuel and your engine needs setting up.

You could always pop down to our field and we could help you out as a few of us fly raptors, we are only down the road from you.
