  • Raptor 30 V2 Set Up Help Please

Can some one help me. I have a Raptor V2 together with a Futaba T6EX. The mechanics are pretty well sorted but my heli seems a bit too sensitive to control and is a bit of a hand full when just trying to hover.

I am used to flying rc helicopters but used to have a friend to set it up for me, i'm just not sure my self.

    Thank you Craig.

    Hi

You need a local to help really. Try a local club

In the meantime dial in some Expo onto the Elevator and Aileron. Try 30% to start with

Also, you need to ensure that your pitch and throttle curves are correct. Any sudden jumps in these can make the model twitchy.

Best you get someone to look though. That is a big heli to not have proper control of.
    Happy Landings.

      Hi Craig,
as David says above it is really best to find someone local! Where are you based/fly? I love my Raptors although I use JR radio which is a bit different from your Futaba however the principles are the same.

you say you have been flying around with other models? What were they? What level of flying were you doing?

Help is at hand just need to find someone near to give the model the once over,

We have several Raptor flyers at our club and are always willing to help.

      Good luck

Hi and thanks for the replies everyone.

I can fly quite well with planes and helicopters and can even do some 3d with both.

I do belong to a model club but haven't been up for a while now due to personal reasons.

I think that's probably my best bet as you say to get someone to have a look at it for me.

Once I'm setup I'm away and love trying new tricks.

I will try putting some Expo in, I haven't tried that yet.

Things have only changed for me really when I switched over to 2.4GHz from 35mhz, the heli wasn't too bad before that.

Where are you based? Maybe a local member could come and help out?

I found mine so much more responsive after a change from Sanwa to Spektrum and it took a lot of getting used to

I fly rappys with a DX61 and am just a beginner but hovering tail in its quite stable even in windy conditions.
I was set up by one of the grand oberfhurers at the club though so thats probally what you need to do.
