As the starter of the hijacked thread in question, it was nice to receive an unsolicited pm from one of the parties apologising for all the aggro caused in the thread

For me one of the best things about this forum is the lack of trolls and trouble causers, long may it last.

By all means we should be able to share our opinions and even be opinionated but personal attacks should not be tolerated in anyway.

And lets try and keep the language clean as when my oldest son hopefully starts to enjoy my hobby with me he will be a keen reader of this forum.

I have altered the thread removing any posts that in my opinion that crossed the line. I have only one alternative which is to delete the thread, however, the threads intention and the majority of the posts holds valid merit and started fine. But was brought down over time and SynergyN9 did the right thing to close the topic. Its his choice if he wishes it to be re-opened.

Ash, thanks and your right.....if any member asks for the topic to be calmed down and they don't hit the Red card symbol on the post and I get an e-mail taking me direct the post. If warranted I'll butt I'll stop it pronto.

Another One...

Yesterday I took a PM from a member who was personally offended by a thread that obviously directed at him.

I took the decision to move the thread to a private forum while I spoke with the thread originator on the issue. The Thread is no longer viewable to any member other than myself. Rather than deleting threads of the this nature I will just move them out of sight.

I've said it once and I'll say it again...this site not a play ground for political battles that should take place at your club meetings or AGM's.

I'm all for debate and if you have a serious issue that needs debating then fine, but personal issues are not welcome. The majority of us are adults and we should be setting an example to the younger members.

I'm already having to make a decision on a thread that a retailer is threatening to sue the site over due to personal remarks and I will have to remove certain contents to keep it straight but I will never remove a thread to keep a retailer sweet.

Further more, its been brought to my attention by the thread originator that some members may have more than one log in for such things. I will be installing and I really didn't what to do it as it takes up more of my time to do it a mod that will track IP's.....ONLY 1 registration per member, if you have more than one and would like to remove the other to save me time, then please PM me. I hold no grudges just saves me the hassle and time.

If anyone things and I'm happy to discuss this that I've been over handed or taking any sides let me know via PM. I just want the site to work for the benefit of the hobby and its members.
