I will get around to trying these one day, thanks for the vid
I take it, its easier to learn the half flip with half piro first to get an idea for the timing then progress it?
Gareth did start to teach me on the sim ages ago but I gave up with the sim too lol.Last edited by Jamin_00; 27-04-2013, 10:14 AM.

Piro Flips made easy
I've been attempting them for a while but I just can't seem to centre them I'm all over the sky lol. Personally I find them harder IRL than on sim but that's prob just the fact it will cost if I screw up lolsigpic

watching Paul at out club learning piroflips mode 1, it looks harder to keep it fluid as your not stirring and he does his starting from nose in!Originally posted by busterboy View PostSame here Tony, only I had it to learn mode 1.

Yes, just don't rely on timing, try to fly the heli through maneuver. I'd suggest learning piro hover upside down and right side up first, if you can't do it already.Originally posted by Jamin_00 View PostI will get around to trying these one day, thanks for the vid

I started doing them like the Russ Prince video on my Sim. I can do them on all different Helis and different speeds on the Sim. But transferring that to a real Heli was more difficult. I found the TDR could do some nice slow piroflips. The Blade 450X was good at everything but struggled on Piroflips because of it's sensitivity around the centre on Throttle/Pitch. I found it easiest on my Trex 550FBL and beleive it or not Goblin 700. Still all over the sky, but more or less controlled. Learning them makes orientation for many other manouvres that much easier to work out............. Even though I can't do them yet.Been there and done that, but never stop learning.
Now too many Helis to mention?

Half a a pirouetting flip. Literally the most valuable move you can learn I reckon, leads on to so many different moves and transitions.
I will nail those piro flips this year, so close now, must of been attempting these on the sim for over a year now.Matt
