Ouch Goblin Crash....

This is the boom strike vid and is a bit of an old one think this was back late jan
This was due to a few things the flyer not putting the preload spacers in the head between the blade grips and dampeners (SAB Claim there now put in from factory standard now), the blade grips not being tight and I bet the incedence was out?!
All this contributed to that (allegedly)
I just got hold of a 24t Pinion so my head speed is now going to be at a comfortable 2300rpm (by that I mean motor/gov in ideal ranges) Ive been flying at about 2200rpm and have given it some pretty hard rainbows, tic tocks whilst being very hard on the collective nothing went wrong by way of boom strikes plus I found my boom incedence was only 140mm yesterday night (I have now increased this to above the recommended 145mm)
Not quite sure this would be $634 it dont look pretty but thats a lot of damage on a heli with low part counts unless I guess he broke some of the expensive alloy parts, $634 is a bloomin lot of damage and I'd say quite hard to do....but Im sure I'll find out (I hope not of course
)

$634, works out at £400, my 700 did a massive chicken dance and still only cost £200 and that was enough.Chris 'CHUNK' Newby
