That model is home built and isnt a kit although I think hes just hung a 450 body under the main bicopter workings, the idea is to build one for your self how ever you want it, it uses the same KK controller as the quads and tricopters use but with his bicopter firmware flashed to it, Minsoo Kim the builder of that bicopter is also the same person that re wrote all the KK firmware and enhanced it, heres another video of his bicopter

I'd just come from watching this on YouTube when I caught this thread.
Coincidence or spookiness?

That setup/assembly looks a lot more refined, think i could be getting me a cheapo hk450 to chop up and make a proper shell that matches the film bicopter

Dont own anything at moment and these shakes are getting worse every day

raptor30, trex 600n, RJX extreme50, trex 450 sport, beltCP, cxp2, dx7 X1
The second one says he cant fly fast forward or he looses stability well if he had payed more attention to the first one he would of noticed the servo controlled stabiliser at the rear to enable forward flight

As Ali says it's a work in progress but it's doing pretty well for a prototype.
Shellwise I guess it's a choice of Avatar or Osprey.
Whale Tail.
That rear paddle/elevator reminds me of the early American model bi-copter, bit of a fudge really, dragwise
Some sort of override is needed in the control logic to stop the stab system from fighting the rotor tilt.
I'm sure they'll come up with a solution.

Both clever concepts that do work reasonably well, considering the lift of a 450 size body with just 2 props i'm impressed ! a more affordable & less complicated scale Osprey would be great !
The ali bloke uses a of the shelf product that will never do the job any better than it is now as it doesnt have the possability for him to change the firmware to add any more stability,
Minsoo kim how ever wrote the software and produced his own board I think the two are a mile apart and his works the other half works, while the second one does indeed look better thats just a case of throwing the right amount of cash at it, Ali will never get past a prototype as he hasnt developed anything just used off the shelf products,
It just pi**es me of when other people take other peoples ideas and then try to take the credit
