You even see the odd bead of sweat if your brave enough to stand so close to him on the flightline. He flys so close and so high sometimes that you would think it was overhead at times. I've even seen Wayne step back on occasions

I met him once he was a bit of a drugged up pain in the arse to be honest, he was slurring his speech, could barely walk in straight line, and a real Diva, I cant beleive he is as successful as he is?

And his kids are even worse!

Luckily his wife Sharon makes up for all their shortcomings, she's pretty sensible and not bad looking for 50+!

That video has had a strange effect on me. Last night I realised that you dont need to be able to fly Tareqs style in order to fly, and I think perhaps that has contributed to me selling the helis etc. I was dispointed I would never be able to do follow his style or come close. No disrespect to Osbourne but his flying seems a more realistic achievement to aim for and be proud off.

I remember watching Duncans flight at the last clubman in Goole and TBH it was soo smooth and precise it was unreal ...I have always liked big air stuff and Duncan never fails to amaze ... His flights to music are always on the ball as well ... Am sure he is not human lol ....

I'm a bit different, I realise that Duncans' flying is beyond me. I firmly believe there are good pilots then there are innovators. Duncan is one of those. He comes out with moves that others imitate. However, there are others in my club that I see fly to an incredibly high standard, a standard that I think I might be able to achieve. I would never be an innovator but I think with application and hard work I could fly something like them. Duncan, no!

Can't believe you've gave up mate, your going to miss it!! :-((

Havent givern up. Merely taking a breather and, fingers crossed, different career path . If I fail in a few months then i'll be back to flying but I need to have no distractions and give it all like I said in PM . I still have insurance and two helis - one is rtf, 500, the other needs a gyro thats the n5. If I still got the 500 by Mk then Im in for the day.

Youve spoken true words although it seems ive givern the wrong idea about imitating Duncan fully. He has an awesome ability to fly helis smoooth. Personally I find his flying easier on the eye to watch and this gives me the impression that I can copy certain things on sim etc. Obviously im never, ever going to be as good as Osbourne but I see Tareq doing crazy sturff on the deck and then I watch D.O with his piro loops and I think yeh thats something I can try and copy - but without the piros lol.
I have full respect for flyers like R. Clarke, Osboune and Tareq, there flying is more than a dream away.

You have to watch his freestyle in the 2007 3D champs at LHC. Truly awesome.

Just enter Duncan in the pilot and then the event and freestyle, you won't be dissapointed
The commentator said it all at the end in just one word....WOW!

In my view Duncan Osborne is by far the best at flying to music and for some unknown reason underated despite being 2005 3d world champion.

I think he's far from underrated to pilots who can appreciate the technical aspects to his flying. Sometimes it's nowhere near as exciting as say Tareq where you know the heli will only live till the end of that flight. Duncan sometimes fails to get the crowd going which scores unfortunately, instead of 'whoot whoot' you get 'that was nice', which isn't anywhere as powerful when it comes to getting the crowd going.

His music round for instance in the Masters was IMO the best, I have watched the top 10 and can't find one even close. Maybe the judges are tone deaf and can't see what Dunc was doing (actually maybe they could he was 4th).
