Orange Ball Blues

It's dusk, thought I'd try the camera on the quad, it was actually quite dark outside so I wasn't expecting a brilliant picture. It's a shame some moron forgot about the orange ball. DOH !

What quad is that? A gaui I presume? Looks very stable I'm seriously looking forward to getting my kkmulticopter airbourne, and then to FPV it, although that is quite a headache; I've no idea which frequency video TX/RX to go for at the mo as I've read so much conflicting information on each frequency.

It's still a little bit high on the Gyros - I can hear pulses in the video that I wouldn't have expected

Ah yeah, sorry I remember that thread now. I think the only hicup I may have at the moment is that the motors I've bought appear to have non-reversable shafts, so either I've got to machine some grooves in to them to be able to turn them round, or I've got to get some different ones. I thought the same when I got the SK2830 but turned out ok - Even if you can't reverse the shaft you'll still be able to mount them with a couple of standoffs.

Nice video shame about the ball what camera you using and how is it mounted, you seem to have no vibration at all you should get some excellent videos from it

Its a keycam - nothing special but I was quite impressed with the video when I first got it (Thanks Adieuk) - can;t wait to try it in good light.

Mounted with 4 small squares of spartan tape about 3mm square - one in each corner - but there is no vibration anyway. If I hold the frame (like when testing gyro directions) I can't feel a thing at 30% power just becomes very light. The biggest problem I have is on takeoff - just won't lift squarely without cyclic input.

Ha ha, she was taking her mother back to Macclesfield at the time - but I've got a great idea now !!!

(Not sure its worth the pain though !)
