This is a clip that was shown in the 80s on German TV as a gap filler between shows. The man at the controls is Karl (Charly) Zimmermann. He used to fly for the German Air Force (Heeresfliegerregiment 16 in Celle). He won Helicopter aerobatic championships in 1978 and 1981 and placed 2nd in 1986.
Another German pilot who flies like Karl is Rainer Wilke. The Red Bull Bo 105 pilot learned from Wilke.

Yea 5mins on google suggests the guy who crashed the BO-105 on film was Siegfried Hermann. Him and Zimmerman were both freestyle heli aerobatics champions and test/demonstration pilots for MBB Eurocopter apparently, theres a few videos of them on youtube

If you look carefully at 54 seconds on the original post video when he's flying through the woods he chops the top off a tree with the rotors!

Just watched the Siegfried (last part of that name is a bit unfortunate) video clip. Oh my, I'd hate to think what was going through his head at those last moments.
