Raptor G4 Flight

Finally got my G4 flying and i love it Fly's much better than i had expected. All thought i am sure you can hear the bad noise every now and again, i am pretty sure its the bearings in the engine needing replaced. Hopefully will get that done this week, until then i don't think i will fly it anymore in case it causes any damage. This is my 3rd flight on this heli and my first nitro so it still needs a bit tuning to the engine and vbar but its close

Thanks Yea it's a very small field, i cant believe how much bigger the camera makes it look. The big tree at the right i come close to a few times

Thanks Brian. I was really surprised at how comfortable i felt with it already, the power of nitro feels very smooth. The cyclic also feels just like my e700 which helps

Kool, its a vbar thing you won't to get over here next year and do a few comps!!

That is very true. Every heli i fly with vbar just feels all most the same in terms of cyclic. Yea i am really hoping to get over to at least 2 comps next year in the UK

Very nice flying and with a G4 nitro, one of the best nitros you can own. Can imagine it's easy to run out of sky in that field!

Thanks Tony! Yea i have not seen to many videos on here, but i find its always difficult to get someone to record you flying. I know my dad hates it when i ask him to do it lol

Thanks George! The G4 really is a great heli. I now know why so many people where disappointed when it was discontinued. That is actually one of the old original G4's not the G4.1

The head and feel I think comes from the head design and even though there are bellcranks in there it feels very direct and precise. I use Vortex on mine and the 700n and e700 feel very different although the settings are similar.

Thanks Dave! I was thinking it was rich in the mid, but i fell pretty happy with it. If i do constant tic tocs its dose not seem to bog or or have any negative tendencies so i don't think i will adjust it. However the top i was thinking needed to be more rich, when i do big loops or sit on the high needle for a long period i feel like the heli starts to lose head speed and all most sounds like it will cut out. I was thinking that's it not getting enough fuel but i am not sure

It sounded slightly four strokey with a gurgling on the loop you done. I'll have a listen again, what engine is it Connor
