It always worries me but I have to put it down every time like that as its even more difficult under power because the skids are made of wire. That landing wasn't particularly good though lol .

They will do approx. 180mph depending on conditions and obviously the pilot. Flying it at speed is very difficult and you have to be really smooth on the sticks with no aggressive movements . I'm a long way off achieving that speed and have a lot of practice to do to get there , but she will go that fast .

Hmmm...... sounds fantastic, makes you think I'll just have one of those for the noise.
Too many helis and planks, well that's what she says.

Unfortunately there was only 50 ever made to start off with , and recently Gerd at minicopter released another 12 as he had stock of to many parts. And as you can guess they have all been sold. I now have 2 lol !
The kit on its own with no electrics, motor or blades is €2100 euros . Then you will need servos , ESC Kontronik 200HV, Kontronik 850-50 Competition , and FBL system , mine is also running on a 14s set up with a flight time of 3 mins max.
All in to get flying approx. £3500 + batteries, sorry forgot the blades these are Speed X 713 which are specifically designed for speed and are €159 euros a set plus postage .

Can't put a price on pleasure, if you like it buy it - life's too short to worry about cost. Wife may take a bit of convincing on that though LOL.

                          Hey Rob, just remind me...
What is a retreating blade stall like at 180 MPH?
Does it give ya a little Adrenaline rush?
                          Hee hee hee!
                          Good luck dude!

Its for flying and not looking at lol ! And I only pushed it gently honest lol . Because the tail gain is set so low at 40 when I spool it up I have to use 100% right rudder until it gains a little momentum , its a pain in the ass as some times it catches me out and does a 180 degree spin on me . The wire skids just don't grip anything .
As for a blade stall at 180mph I dred to think ,but somehow I don't think I would get it to that speed ill leave it to the experts for now . I think the record by one of these is 185mph flown by Miles Dunkel from Germany at IRCHA last year .

Doing these speed runs at some point its going to go in and when it does its going to be hard , both on the machine and my pocket . But hey ho its the best hobby in the world otherwise we wouldn't do it !
