Ok, bit more progress, after a nasty engine cut with the 600n at the weekend during a long nose dive without a header tank (used to lipo power lol) and only just having a few seconds to get it level and land using auto ( only cracked a skid leg) I decided to fit headers to both builds.
Now the problem is they look pony stuck out the side so a solution was needed to fit them but out of sight!

This is how I've done it, not sure if this set up has been done already? I know the extra fuel tube lenght makes no difference after many years racing buggies, I checked the carb doesn't flood by filling the system and leaving standing over night, no fuel got into the carb feed, it runs the same as a normal one tank set up though flight testing will be needed before giving it the ok, more to come

I like that sprung throttle shutoff arrangement, that's a good idea.

not sure of the header tank placement, in an ideal world you want the outlet of the tank to be in line with the spray bar (center) of the carb , it will most likely work , but will not work as intended, nice clean heli though , well done on the build :-)

edit , the header tank usually comes with a bracket and various stand offs, (if a Quick uk one ) remove the rear cooling fan shroud bolt and screw it in there :-)

I DON'T want the header tank showing (as said in first post! ) it makes the heli look crap stuck out the side, and as for "not sure of the header tank placement, in an ideal world you want the outlet of the tank to be in line with the spray bar (center) of the carb" answer me this, how often is the header tank outlet inline with the carb in flight? lol about 1% I'd say

Oh ok, can you explain why the header tank outlet needs to be inline with the spray bar please?
