  • Dx7s and copterx black angel

Just bought a DX7S and would like some pointers for setting up the DX7S for the copterx , the dumber the better (meaning the heli not me !!) although some folk may beg to differ after i bought the dx7s , rather than the futaba 8 i was directed to buy

Anyways any help would be greatly apreciated , this is my first ever digital transmitter , and i'm not sure what all the settings are about , i will receive it around thursday i'm hoping .

Best to read the manual before it arrives, you can find it online easy enough, then start asking questions.

the receiver in the black angel is a AR6115 , will i need a bind plug to bind it to the dx7s ? The bloke i bought it off never mentioned it , he just said it'll bind no problem to a spektrum transmitter

Yes, you will need one, with any luck you'll get one with the DX7s when it arrives.

Nobody local to you with a spare?

Most Spektrum users end up with more of these things then they will ever need

Not hard to make either if you have the servo connector parts ...

nobody local that i know of , don't even know if there's any heli clubs close to where i am , will have to find out . Just got one for £2 free p+p, from the same place where i got the transmitter from .

Anyone know what is the most " true to the model " heli on phoenix ? The mcxp is horrendous to fly on phoenix , it even rolls over on its side as soon as it re-spawns , i just downloaded it , so maybe the file is corrupt or something . I find the bigger heli's like the 600's and 700's easier to control on phoenix .

You can't just copy settings from the Internet and expect it to work for your particular helicopter, different mechanical setup, geometry, make of servos, etc mean each helicopter needs to be setup individually. If you pm me with your email address I can send you a crib sheet that I wrote to describe the basic setup of a flybarred helicopter head, that may help you.
