  • spartan quark problem

    Hey guys,

    I have a spartan quark gyro (little one with the clear case) that came aleegedly "brand new" with my trex 250. I can't seem to get it work properly. I have followed the following setup video step by step and my gyro doesn't actually do what his does in the vid! Whe he gets to the left end point setup, instead of the tail servo twitching twice, my tail servo just sits there unpowered, it will do the right hand end point as per the vid.

    As a result of this, in order to get my heli to fly I need to dial in 110 of right hand sub trim, even with this every time I plug a new battery in I need to keep dialing in yet more right hand trim. it's doing my head in tbh!

    Anybody got any ideas? I also need to have my rudder servo reversed on the tx otherwise it responds in the opposite direction and now and then it is delayed in its response.

    here is the setup vid I followed;

    cheers.

    Have you set the servo type corectly for the servo you are using. You need to have the rudder stick left as you power it up to see this. This is the most logical explanition of the problem... You have a speed mismatch for the servo signal. check out your servo type and its pulse specification

        If you have set it up correctly and it is connected corectly,personally I would send it back and ask for a replacement.

          I may have found the problem. It doesnt explain why the gyro wont setup properly but it does explain the wandery tail, the blade grip spindle thingy was loose on the tail shaft. It wont tighten and due to the grub screw rounding wont loosen either! I had to dripl oit the grub screw in the end. Typical that the only remaining hobbyking part was causing trouble!

          I cant tell if it worked as I had a little "incedent" and need to replace the landing skids, the main drive gear and main blades!
