Hi was told to see if anyone would be willing to spare a hour to check over my raptor30 to see if I need to spend any money on it to get it ready to fly I live in newmills Derbyshire but not to far from Stockport

if your willing to travel mate i will give it the once over for you our club is in cheshire about 20 miles or so from stockport in winsford just a trip up the 556 for you .

If your willing to drive to Crewe. Ill set it up for ya for free and test hover it, show ya what to do etc. Im to far away for me to get to you tho as Im not allowed to drive atm.

hi mate, im in belper derbyshire if that is close enough for you. i would be happy to show you over your raptor, check it over and test fly it for you. i have a raptor 50 titan and my brother bought a raptor 30 a few weeks ago that i checked, setup and testflew for him.

can you tell us abit more about your heli and equipment?

do you have the starter and glow driver?

how much rc heli experience do you have? if you havnt got any then i recomend you get the phoenix simulator

Hi it has training legs
Transmitter is a futaba t7cp
gyro is a futaba gy401
tail servo futaba s3151 others are s3003
engine is a irvine36
fuel is model technics contest 10
not sure about govenor
not 100% the controller is set right although everything apeers to work as it should
Some one did start it for me but it was reving to fast and he did not want to alter anything just in case don't no if this will put anyone off looking at it for me

It won't put anyone off who knows what they are doing. I flew nitro planks a long time ago and I'd have taken the motor off and run through a few tanks to make sure it runs ok. I've never looked at a heli engine though. I'd look at the throttle opening and see if it closes or read the manual for the engine. If it hasn't been used for a while it probably needs taking apart and cleaning.

They suspect an air leak. You should be able to see the opening closing from above. I still have an Irvine somewhere.

Well done mate.
When i first started out with a Raptor 30 there was no way i was going to attempt to start it up on my own, so i too joined a club and got some excellent advice and made some good friends.

Good look, stick with it and have fun!
