  • I need some help with finishing rebuilding my blade 300x, setting up etc

    Hi,

I manged to stuff my 300x into my garage wall a couple weekends ago.

I have completely rebuilt the heli other than the electrics, I am a little confused about what goes where onto the beast x, I should of taken more notice.

Still new to the hobby I am still trying to work a few things out, I'm also building a 550 DFC so I think I better had the 300x flying perfect and use it to learn from.

Iv got the swash back on and all the links and servos back how they were removed but I just want to be 100% where I plug in each servo etc.

    Thanks

It might be an idea to not connect the horns or the ball links until the servos have been plugged in to avoid stalling them. You can get the servo plug in info from the manual or you can work it out yourself. One servo will only work on elevator, that goes in the middle. The other two go either side. Swop them if they go the wrong way.

That's actually helped me get my head round it. I will disconnect the ball links then connect the battery up and get the elevator sorted first, once iv done that I'm 50% there Is the elevator marked on the beast ex? Sorry I havnt got it to hand.

600 is still sat on the bench, waiting for me to finish setting her up, have almost finished the fuel system, just waiting on some glue for the header tank. Might be ready for the weekend, but very limited on places to fly now.

Doesn't have to be marked. You know it's the elevator if the servo moves when you move the right stick up and down. It seems obvious now, but it took me a long time to realize how obvious it is.

Ok so Iv plugged it all in, ready to go, spun up the motor slowly and noticed something isn't right, the tail is all over the place it seems if I go up on the throttle they try to adjust the tail the motor either speeds up or slows down, doesn't make sense! I thought maybe the belt was to tight so when I adjusted the tail the extra load on the motor slowed it down.

This isn't the case, completely confused now

Sounds like you've got your wires plugged in wrong, ie sounds like you've got rudder plugged into your throttle channel?

Yeah seems like that, on the beast x I guess RUDD is the tail and THRO is the motor?

Yep. Rudd goes to the tail servo and thro goes to the ESC.

Arh, that's the only two I have plugged in and it's still faulting, can the connectors go in upside down? I don't think they work upside down but don't want to try it

I think the slots are keyed. Besides which, you should be able to see against the other connectors that the same colour cables are all going into the BX the same way. I assume when you say that's the only two you have plugged in, you mean, the only two you have changed - not that none of the cyclics are plugged in yet!?

Have you relocated the BX maybe? From inside the frame to at the back - a la 450X?
