    do I solve a ESC problem ?

Firstly - Hi Guys - The Heli bug has finally hit me....

I have only been into RC since this time last year when my wife bought me a £25 car from the gadget shop.....thereafter I moved to a Tamyia TNX - then another for parts, then another because it was on ebay and I'd had a wine with my tea....then a Losi Mini LST, then a Losi LST.... then a Tamya Subaru - oh then a letter from the bank manager to tell me I was overdrawn......joke ! But near enough true.....

I then joined several forums and the local RC Truck Club where I took part in a number of races....

Anyway- all the while I kept getting pangs to fly and again, with a glass of plonk in hand bought a Blade CX2 just before Christmas.

I have flown it quite sucesfully since then but just today I hit a tree and consequently the ground from about 30ft.

    Here is the problem............

The upper blades spin but the lowwer don't.

I have swapped the motors from one jack to another and find both motors/blades spin from the upper jack point but not the lowwer (left).

Do I need a new ESC or is there a wayof resetting or fixing the fault.

Given many many crashes in my trucks at 30mph head on into trees, I find it hard to accept the ESC has given up with just a simple and light fall to the ground !

Help...... this is the unit in question EFLH1024

    Thanks in advance...........

    Graeme

hmmm thats a new one . note the position of the adjuster in the proportional pot . then try turning it full one direction and try then full other direction and try. this will give more power to each motor in turn and give you an idea of whether or not the esc is goosed! do it with the battery conected then disconect and reconect to test

                  The blades....

.... the blades seem to spin without trouble - as mentioned, when connecting the upper and lowwer blades/motors to the upper 3pin jack, both upper and lower spin without trouble...

                    Yep.....

Yep.... all pins are intact - it just seems impossible to have cooked the ESC.......and they are bl**dy £69 to replace here in the U.K. ($59.00 Stateside)....Rip-off-Britain.

                    Any other thoughts ?

doh! should have read it better! it sounds like you may have damaged the mixer unit. fix it and take it back to where you bought it and deny all knowledge of the crash?

                          You devils.......

........I would never dream to do such a thing to my LHS ......

Unfortunately, I bought it off ebay so I'm stuck with it and will just suffer the cost of replacement - however, I have already emailed Horizon with the advice that the ESC has blown and with surprise regarding the same - lets see how they revert....

In the meantime, thanks Guys for your prompt responses......I will now go and enjoy the rest of the site and catchp with you at a leter date..

Are there any club sections here (meets) ?

I had a twister bell47 and crashed it several times, its final demise was when the motor shorted and popped one channel in the ESC. dont forget, if you crashed with power on and the blades could not turn then this would load the system more
My guess is you have cooked the box!
