buddy box setup

Hi All.

Was just reading my TX manuals and thought I might save some time by asking the question here. What are the limitations to setting up a buddy box? Do they have the be the same TX, Same format eg both DMSS or can they be mixed.

I have a JR XG 7 and a devo 7 my brother a Turnigy 9x which hes putting a freesky module in. So all fairly different but just thought I would have a go. Am I wasting my time?

Maybe I need to build a new heli to take up some time so I dont keep getting crazy ideas.

got to be the same make to buddy lead off.

the plugs on the leads are different on different makes,but maybe there a convertor to cross makes?

They all look like just mono headphone plugs same as my sim cable. I guess I could test it with the sim first.

it worth a try then,let us know how you do,i am just about to buy a buddy lead,and a few down the field,use fubata,be handy if i could buddy up with them as well as psektrum

I think you may be OK with the Turnigy if you have flashed the ER9X or similar software to it as it gives freedom to assign any channel to each stick axis
