8FG and Align 3G

I've been asked to set up a 700LE with an Align 3G on a Futaba 8FG. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, however, I've only ever flown JR/Spektrum!! And the futaba menus are confusing as hell to me and what I'm used to, I have the manual but thought there might be some futaba setup vids/ tutorials etc somewhere?

Any inspiration chaps before I have to resort to reading a manual?!!!!

I use an 8FG, but never used 3G. I think the 3G requires the radio to be set as CCPM not separate servos like other FBL set ups but I could be wrong.

The 8fg is a really simple to use. Think of the menu wheel like an iPod, you rotate you finger around the outside edge and confirm with the middle button. Everything is listed throttle curve, pitch curve, d/r and expo. But do remember on futabas the throttle channel will need to be reversed and the expo is the other way round from spektrum.

Hey.

One tip I can give is to make sure you set the right eCCPM type and I think on Futaba it's HR3? I've only setup one Futaba equipped model so far with a 3GX and have seen the effects of it being wrongly set, as the owner had been flying it set to HN3 which is 140 degree eCCPM off the top of my head.

The rest is the same as the other makes, just labelled differently.

I'm getting there, its just different terminology and getting my head around the different way it inputs/scrolls etc.

And yes,HR3 is 120' swash (Obviously )
