Yes expo on one or the other not both. This is what Mikado recommend. I personally find the default to be nice and don't change a thing in the tx. If you setup the bank switching on the v bar you can quickly experiment with 4 different settings during one flight. I love this feature, it gets you to your preferred feeling in no time.

ok so the TX expo is down to 10 so might just drop it to zero. Wanted to speed it up anyway.
With less DR so the cyclic is not so massive and less expo maybe it will feel similar. At least I have a better understanding of it all now so will be more confident playing at the field.
Hmm back switching. Have looked it a little but not setup. Will have to do some home work on that. So many cool features to learn about.
Loving the Vbar.
Cheers

ok so weekend went ok on the learning front.
Reduced the DR (To about 50%) so I had about 10 deg on the cyclic. Reduced the Expo to zero as there was 15% on the Vbar. Seemed to fly fairly smooth, a little slower. Then tried a flip. Was about to go make a cup of tea half way through it took so long. Well felt that way. Maybe 3 or 4 seconds for a 180 deg flip.
So I increased the DR back to about 70%. Was much better. Still fairly slow and was using full travel on the sticks for flips and rolls and was ok. Smooth but certainly not smacking it around.
Got home to check what pitch I ended up with. Started getting some crazy numbers then realized the swash was not level. Played around and realized after booting up and playing with the controls a bit checking pitch it would creep off to the side. Have a look at this vid. Might want to fast forward to about 1:50 min when it starts doing it and I let it go. After it was not level dropping and raising the pitch the error stayed there. So the swash didn't move the same on all 3 servos if that makes sense. You can see that at the 2:30 mark when I start to move collective after the swash has crept. Rest of the time before hand I was moving it around as it seemed to only start to creep after lots of control in puts. I guess it is just the Vbar having trouble finding center when it is sitting on the table after lots of inputs??? Trex 500 Vbar swash creep - YouTube
Anyway end result is I am back to about 14 deg of cyclic. The "agility" slider in the PC software I upped from 90 to 100. If I want to speed up cyclic do I keep increasing the DR and pitch or should I keep cranking up the "Agility" slider???
The problem now is I am back to the binding problem at extreme max pitch max forward ele with the Ele push rod on the anti rotation bracket. I dont think I ever get there in reality but may one day so want it to be right.
I moved the ball link to the inside hole on the standard 500 efl pro alloy servo arms as during setup I had the cyclic slider down to about 60 to get the 8 deg. So moved to the inside holes and it is now on about 70 to get the 8 deg. Still a little shy on what thay recommend.
If I move to the outside holes binding want be a problem but then it is way outside the suggested Vbar setup cyclic %. not sure which is worse??
Any advice appreciate.
Basically the heli is flying great and I can get it to do what I want but not sure I am going about it the right way.
