3gx setup with new tX

Hi All.
I have just upgraded my TX and setting up the DIR on the 3gx V2 again.
Should I reset the computer software back to defaults and write that to the 3gx first? Assume the computer setup is totally separate to the TX settings so will ok.

Anything else I need to look out for?

Hey.

Yes, you are correct. The computer settings are independant to the DIR settings and so you can just go through DIR and your custom settings will still be useable. It is said that a firmware upgrade normally wipes user settings, but I never found it did when I checked.However for peace of mind, a quick check afterwards will put your mind at rest that all is still ok.

The only thing I would say to redo before flight is a rebind, applicable for any set, to make sure this critical safety feature is setup properly from your new transmitter.
