It's not possible to run a jr transmitter and a futaba reciever together, you going to have to get a jr reciever.
The jr transmitter sends a different signal compared to a futaba.

      Not true for 35MHz equipment.

Have you got the transmitter set to PPM or PCM?

Have you got a genuine Futaba dual-conversion crystal in the receiver and a JR crystal in the tx?

Fair enough, I use to use my 9x with schulze receivers for gliders and small stuff.
But the added protection of using a proper jr reciever with PCM modulation gives you fail safe (if set) and I think that is a good idea.

Now please correct me if I am wrong but a jr transmitter will not work with a futaba PCM receiver.

I know a fpr138df Rx isn't a PCM Rx, but I was just trying to keep things simple.

              Cheers

Yes helicopter came with a futaba tx6 so took crystal out and put it new jr PCM but just doesn't seem to bind

So basically I will need a jr reciver for this then set at 35 MHz would I need new crystals due you think

Not sure I'm following exactly what you did, but if you are saying you put the Futaba transmitter crystal in the JR transmitter then that is probably your problem.

Maybe so then just thought the crystal wouldn't make any difference thou

Each manufacturer tunes things a little differently, the combination of tx and correct crystal results in the right frequency, use a different manufacturers crystal and it will not be quite the same.
