Sounds like a knackered lipo to me. Volts drop as the current increases. Probably hitting your lvc( low voltage cutoff). On the second go the volts have dropped even further. I'd check the volts under load and ideally check the current taken by the motor. The other possibilty is that your motor is taking too much current and that may may blown up the first esc. If you can't get a wattmeter to measure the current or a meter to measure the volts you could try connecting a fuse in series with the battery. If you spool up slowly you should be ok with a 30amp fuse. You can use fusewire if you want. Probably best to let someone else have a look.Flasher 450 Sport. Martin, I am not familiar with the magnum personally, however I have just fitted a Skywalker 40A ESC on my Twister Sorm 3d. The ESC would not beep without the motor connected, as I was going to change the main rotor blades, I removed them first. I first turned on the TX, then selected FULL THROTTLE. Then I connected the LiPo. The ESC went through its setup routine. I dont know if I have set all the options correctly, but I have set the menus as follows:
1. Brake - OFF (1 beep)
2. Battery Type - LiPo (1 beep)
3. Cut Off Mode - Soft Cut (1 beep)
4. Cut Off Threashold - Low (1 beep)
5. Startup Mode - Super Soft (3 beeps
6. Timimg - Low (1 beep)
Theres a good video on youtube, if your ESC has the same programming (mine did)

Hope it helps
