Do i need to update my gyro?

Hey.

Another option is you can pick up Spartans quite cheap and will be a good gyro also for any future heli upgrade.

I also feel you will need to change the HiTec HS55 for something better, while it works its not that speedy or powerful and so fitting a better gyro will only work as well as the servo connected to it.

While it may be overkill for your current needs, second hand they go fairly cheap (I've seen around £50.. think there may even be one for sale on here still) and they are superlative gyros that you can move on to your next heli as well.

Same can be said for the servo too - the tail is where this really matters, even when beginning because it makes getting it set up solidly that much easier. No need to go nuts, there are plenty of fairly cheap yet good tail servos in this size available.

but i know i'm been a pain in the arse! but i could do with some links of stuff to look at! only cus i'm looking at gyros and now servos and i dont know what im looking at yet!

For a King, the Assan GA250 would be perfect, and a gazillion miles better than the stock silver rate gyro it comes with. It's also cheaper than the Esky HH gyro, and miles better than it.

Personally, and it's just my opinion, I wouldn't put a £50+ gyro on a King.

Good point re the more expensive gyros,i was getting ahead of myself.
Agree something cheaper would be better suited.
