  • 600FL Shaft & Links.. Baffled

I ordered these Fast Lad Performance
1cm shorter 600N main shafts for FBL and just fitted them.. However I cant get 0 pitch at 90 deg with links I've shortened the main swash drivers as much as I could and they wont go in any further?

Also just checked and they dont seem to make shorter links??

    Any advice please!

I converted a 600N to a 550E and the 3 x Rods just required being fully screwed down but you can always shorten them a little if need be.

Since the 700 and 600 3G links are the same, I would look at the 700e 3G links which are required if you fit the shorter 700e 3G main shaft to a 700n (as I did). Sorry not sure of part number, but I downloaded a 700e manual to find it, then ordered them from fast-lads.

            Hope this helps

            Chris.

Chris, I've checked on Align Website.. They dont seem do 700E links. I thought the 600/700FL ones are the same across the range? I think im going 550E route as the rods are 1 cm shorter!

I will check my fast lad orders, they are shorter because I had the same problem as you but with my 700, when I fitted a shorter main shaft.

                  I used

                  H70066 700EFL Linkage rod(A) Set

These have a rod length of 65mm and a gap between the the rod ends of 55mm

                  Hope this helps

                  Chris.

                    Cheers Chris.

Didnt see them before.. Now I see them on the Align site too.. they at 61mm instead of 71's. So either the 700E or 550E FL will work! I'll get some ordered tonight!

No problem - when I fitted the shorter main shaft to my 700 the 550 was not in production so the 700EFL links where the only option. Made a little mistake the distance between the rod ends is not 55mm but 50.5mm according the the 700e 3G manual.

                      Chris.
