I am in the process of swapping my 401 for a Solid G on my Trex 600e and i'm keeping the Futaba S9254 servo.
It's my first encounter with a Solid G so it's all new to me!!
I've got most of the settings done using the G-view, direction, model type etc, but there are a couple of points i'm unsure of and would like your input on before i go any further.
First question,
with the tail geometry set up for the 401 i have a pitch offset on the tail blades at neutral of around 8 degrees. The Youngblood instructions say to set up tail geometry while in "T/R neutral" and set the links to 90 degrees as per usual and also to set the tail blades centred at zero degrees.
Do i need to reset the tail geometry from the 401's 8 degree offset to zero degree offset and will the Solid G automaticaly compensate for the lack of an offset?
Second question,
what servo type selection works best on the Solid G for the Futaba S9254 servo?
At the moment i have it set for JR 8700G (which seems to work fine but tends to buzz a bit at idle) and it dosen't seem to like the available Futaba options which when selected send it off immediately to full deflection and stalling.
Any help would be much appreciated.......and then i can go test it tomorrow
