set up problems

Hi, All
My first post on here so a hello to all.
I run a neon blaze, a rebadged walkera i understand!, my problem is that as soon as i plug in the heli battery the motor powers up even with the stick at zero, this is some thing i dont realy understand, perhapes the throttle curve is wrong. my transmitter is the stock that came with the heli, as i have played with the dip switches and the little knobs v1 and v2 i am now a bit confused on how to get things working again, can any one help by disscribing the correct set up, please remember i,m a bit of a begginner,

Is the Stick at the bottom of its throw, or in the middle?

It sounds as if the dip switches have reversed the channel operation, so if you put the stick to full does it still do it. Or, your in idle up/stunt mode. What transmitter is it?

my transmitter is a stock, cuk 2601 - 2.4ghz. i still have the issue if i have the stick at full or midway,

Issue with the heli going into full throttle after plugging in was caused by a faulty speed controller, i replaced it and now all working ok,
