  • Baffled by DX7se!!

I'm just wondering if anyone can answer this question for me. When I assigned the gyro to the gears switch on the DX7se, no matter what I did with the gain I got tail wag. As soon as I set the gyro to the flight mode switch using the same gain settings the tail wag completely stopped and the heli is as soild as a rock now.
    Any thoughts anyone??

    Cheers,

    Paul

If you've assigned it to the gear switch, you need to be adjusting the gear travel endpoints, not the gryo gain in th gain page.

Hi Spanner, cheers for the reply. I was adjusting the gear in travel adjust for the gyro gain. For some reason the tail wagged using it on this setting so I then assigned it to the flight mode switch in the gyro sensor menu and the tail wag stopped. Like I say I'm baffled!

You can assign the gyro gain to either the Gyro menu, or to use End point adjustments - one or the other, but not both.
This is done in the First menu when you assign switches to functions (Aux2 to Aux2 etc).
If you set the Gyro fuction active, then the gyro menu appears in the Second menus (where you tweak the setup of a model). If that menu item is there, adjusting end points will have no effect - you must use that Gyro menu.
If you disable the Gyro menu, then you must use End Points to adjust the gain.

        I hope that helps

          Hi Rob,

Cheers for the reply. I've set the gyro gain in both modes. One where the gyro menu is missing becase it's assigned to the gears switch. No matter what I do when I have it set up like this I get tail wag. The only way I can get rid ofit is to assign the gyro to the flight mode switch (using the now active gyro menu).

          Cheers for the help.
