i had the exact same problem with an Evo52 which is basically a TT50.
It turned out to be the gasket on the back plate. It looked okay but it was drawing air.
100% certain you are drawing air from somewhere, my money being on the baseplate.

For a quick/temp fix to see use some silicone sealant on the backplate and see if it still leans out.

My problems arose when the bearings went and the engine got very hot, the plastic gasket must have melted/compressed/distorted with the heat.

Cant help but notice the post says you have not stripped motor but changed fuel lines have you checked the inside diameter of replaced pipe is no smaller than req as when motor is on idle thefuel flow is more than needed but on throttle demand it is starved of fuel also check main gear teeth are correct after rebuild a thought let us know

I've set the hidden needle at 0.8 mm, and rounded it's outer tip slightly.

        Running very good/consistent, actually

He fixed it in the end. Sorry guys should have said. He purchased a shiny new OS 50.

As ddracer says thanks to everybody who replied, I took note and had either already tried their idears or at least thought about what everybody recommended

The loose or damaged back plate gasket is a possibility and I will investigate further

I think the problem with the engine is that it does not "pump" which would indicate worn front shaft seal. The main bearings do not sound worn when running but it did sound different and there is a tiny amount of crankshaft rock

I will fit new bearings to the engine when I get round to it and see what happens, as ddracer said I took the easy option in the short term and replaced it with a new OS 50

Once again thanks for all the replies

I will post what happens in due course
