Damn!! I was hoping to log on this morning and find that a solution had been found!

Mslater thanks for your suggestion, I have tried but unsuprisingly it still is exactly the same result. I'm not suprised as I have been able to connect 3 times out of hundreds of attempts. When things work intermittently like that you would normally say hardware fault but as I am able to use the interface no problem on my old xp steam driven machine it isn't that. As others seem to be having no trouble with the same os without disabling UAC and the fact that the error is not always the same says to me that the drivers aren't suitable for all architecture.

Rotorhead I'm simply trying to connect to any CSM product (i have them all) like I have been doing for years. I know the procedure. The laptop is 1 month old and came with win 7 64bit home premium. I have installed only programs for rc stuff, Spartan gyros (both of them), phoenix and Vstabi. They work flawlessly so I know that nothing is wrong with the laptop or its USB.

Have you tried plugging the CSM lead into the USB plug ? might solve your issue

Probably you who caused all this Daz, shouldn't let you near anything you liability. Did you get some dampers yet or you just gonna carry on wobbling your way round the sky?

CSM true to their word have been working on the driver problem and today they emailed me a new driver through to try, it didn't work for me, I still have exactly the same problem but apparently it did work for somebody else, so if anyone wants to try it and post their findings pm me your email and I'll fire it over to you. Have you tried another CSM cable?

Maybe you've just got a faulty one.

What about trying yours on another persons Win7 64bit PC so you know for sure its your pc/drivers.
