  • T Rex 600 with the shakes

I have a 600pro which I tail end crashed the other week,
all parts replaced but now the heli has got the shakes, tail shake is about one inch.
it looks to shake more when hovering and turning left.
tail servo changed, gyro re-mounted, tail pitch bearings all move freely

any ideals of what to check or change ?

    Thanks for any help

Would say it is likely to be in the head somewhere, maybe FX shaft.
Have you checked the TT umbrella gears for missing teeth?
    Main gear missing teeth?

main gear ok, the rest to the back is new.
        all shafts look ok.
the head is not shaking at all it looks like just the bottom half of the heli is shaking ?

Think I had the same issue with the 500, I could move the head slighty on the main shaft so tightened the jesus bolt up a little bit more and it was ok.

when you fitted the torque tube did you fit the bearing off centre and towards the front of the tail boom? the torque tube can vibrate if the bearing isn't fitted in the correct position

not sure it would make the heli shake tho?? just a thought
            Cheers Paul

I pushed it to the middle, but I will take it back off tomorrow and double check it's still there
                Cheers

You need to mark the center of the torque tube then move the bearing i think its about 10cm forward off the center mark, then glue the bearing in place

the bearing wants to be closer to the heli than the tail when you fit it in the boom

                  hope that helps

if any of that doesn't work try and put some double sided tape under the horizontal stabilizer clamp that can make a big difference.

The shakes are gone nearly (fine tuning now I hope down the field Sunday) Just moved the bearing to just under 10cm and glued it in, had a quick hover in the garden, up and down bops left and right turns looking good!!!

                          Thanks a Lot
