Align Brushless motor question

Hi all,

Currently doing a full strip down on trex 450 for digital rebuild, on inspection the motor does not seem to be turning smoothly its like i need slight force to move it and it like notch moves hard to explain really also the shaft seems to move in and out 0.5 mm ish, im not sure how its supose to feel the motor as been on for its lifetime and been in alot of crashes never looked at it before ooops

PS if its no good can anyone recommend a motor a can buy to replace Align Brushless motor 430L 3550KV cheers

The motor has magnetic plates & coils so when you turn the motor you get a reaction from the magnetic field bit like trying to put two magnets together so yes its normal on brushless motors & the free play is about right.
