paddles running out of track slightly!

ive just got back in from my maiden flight after rebuilding the heli after it hitting terra firma! blades look to be tracking spoton but the paddles look to be running out of track !yet when the heli is on the ground the paddles look to be set right! is there anything i should be looking at and what is the correct way to align the paddles?the paddles im using are the thunder tiger lightweight greens

You can align the paddles using your pitch gauge. Use the flybar for reference...assuming that's straight?

Flybar is brandnew and i used pitch gauge to align them! its just really bugging me now as its the first time i have rebuilt and set up a head and all the linkages myself and the only problem ive seen so far is the paddles??just checked again and look to be spoton!

Might be worth rolling the flybar on a flat surface, if you haven't already.. just to be sure. I would also check that they're correctly balanced and at equal distance from the main shaft.

If your swash-to-mixer and mixer-to-bladegrip linkages are adjusted unevenly from one blade to the other, then you can get this effect. If you take the paddles off and spool up at zero pitch, you'll see the flybar clearly not running in plane. Possibly not something I'd try with a 600, though...

Dont think just because the flybar is new - its streight! sometimes they can be slightly bent out of the pack.

if the paddles are not tracking, then this is not normally effected by the balance of the paddles being out - that just tends to result in excess vibration.

My view is linkages leading to flybar are not exactly the same length or paddles are not on streight. If its a and align 600 then there should be no need to use a blade balancer of the paddles, they should simply line up with the flybar cage.

I had a similar issue and as others have mentioned it turned out to be a new bent flybar. It drove me mad trying to figure it out cus one end was bent up and the other down which made it appear straight until i saw that the flbar carrier was on the wonk lol D'oh!!
