Whats your Trex 450 settings ?

Hi all

If you use a dx6i or similar with your TREX 450, what are all the setting you have set into your transmitter.

These are the setting i need :

Throttle Curve - Normal =
Pitch Curve - Normal =
Revo Mix - Normal =
D/R&EXPO - AILE - ELEV - RUDD- ? =
Swash Mix - AILE - ELEV - PITCH ? =


Setup List
Throttle Cut - INH-ACT ?
D/R COMBI - INH - AILE - ELEV - RUDD - FM

Any other info would be much appretiated

If you want these settings you are asking for quite a bit of data entry by the guys here. To help them to help you, why not put together a template that they can populate, i.e.:

Throttle Curve:
Pitch Curve:
Swash Mix:
etc:
etc:

By doing this they will know precisely what you need and will not waste their time telling you stuff you already know.

You might find you'll get more answers. This will not necessarily be a good thing tho - you will get as many variations as you get answers. Everyone has there own way of setting up, none are "right", none are "wrong" but all of them work for the person using them, none of whom are you.

On my DX7 and 450SEv2 I have:

Throttle Curve - Normal = 0, I, 90, I, 90
Pitch Curve - Normal = 40, I, 50, I, 91 (this gives me -2, 0, +10 degrees)
Revo Mix - Normal = Up = 0, Dn = 0
D/R&EXPO - AILE - ELEV - RUDD- ? = Ail = +20, Elev = +20, Rudd = +10
Swash Mix - AILE - ELEV - PITCH ? = +60, -60, -60

Can't help with the Setup list as things are different on the DX7.

I agree with Paul tho. Watch the HeliFreak videos as, by putting my settings, or anyone else's, into your radio may end in tears.

As Mart has said be careful using any settings, results may difer, failing that watch finless.

Pitch Curve - Normal = these give me -2 and +9 36.5, 43.5, 50, 75, 100
Revo Mix - Normal = no revo mix
D/R&EXPO - AILE - ELEV - RUDD- ? =
Aile =85% +12
Elev =85% INH
Rudd =85% +25


Swash Mix - AILE - ELEV - PITCH ? =
Aile = -60%
Elev = -60%
Pitch = +55


Setup List
Throttle Cut - ACT (never used it but its active)
D/R COMBI - INH - AILE - ELEV - RUDD - FM

For D/R combi ive set it to FM because then when I switch it I get idle up and 100% across for D/R

Swash Mix - AILE - ELEV - PITCH ? = depends i have to change these each time i do the pitch adjustment
Aile = -85%
Elev = +60%
Pitch = -55%

Settings for TREX450 SE V2

Throttle Curve - Normal = 0,70,70,70,70 (running governor on CC Phoenix 35)

Pitch Curve - Normal = 40,43,50,75,100

Revo Mix - Normal = 0 (no need to use this it was used prior to HH gyros)

D/R&EXPO -
AILE - 100% +8%
ELEV - 100% +8%
RUDD - 100% INH

Swash Mix -
AILE - +68%
ELEV - +68%
PITCH - -75%

Swash values give me +- 11 degrees pitch when using 0,25,50,75,90 pitch curve and about 6-7 degrees pitch on AILE and ELEV


Setup List
Throttle Cut - INH
D/R COMBI - ELEV

Also set rudder end points (TRAVEL ADJUST) at 90 in both directions to reduce piro rate slightly

Pos - 3

50.00

And you can change these, but you cant change it to make it like the thro and pitch curves you mentioned.

Am i missing something here

He is saying that his pitch curve is set to 36.5, 43.5, 50, 75, 100 (for POS - L, 2, 3,4, H) in normal mode and this gives him a pitch range of -2 degrees to +9 degrees. These values are dependant on the values he has set on his swash mix for pitch.

He has only got +9 degrees at 100% pitch which is an indication that his swash mix for pitch is set fairly low as I believe you can get about 13 degrees of pitch out of the 450PRO
