i am still having problems with my power
here is what i have done to try and eliminate
    new esc
    new motor
    disconnected servos.

as some of you have seen the problem is that when i try to fly within 30 seconds my lipo alarm comes on due to one cell dropping power (put on a power meter to see this), but when taken of the heli the batts are in balance, and have lost hardly any charge.

tonight i will be swapping the RX, but i cant see this being it?
all solders are strong, as i have given them a good pull to try and separate them from the wires

also tried different batts, inc borrowing someone elses.

    any ideas?
    Grrrr not again!!!

I don't think so, as there is a definate lack of head speed when the alarm comes on

i appear to have sorted it
i had tried everything electrical except the RX, i had a spare that i put in, and it seems fine now (fingers crossed)

Li-Po Monitor can alert a low voltage condition when the load is only one of the target package is weaker. The monitor does not distinguish which cell is weak, but it only checks the whole voltage.
If your battery is of poor quality or was overloaded, one of the first cells may have low voltage.

Such a situation is "normal" for the used cell. Although you can fix this by exchanging the weak link in the package, but is required for experience and caution.

Sometimes it easier to replace the whole package.

i had the exact same problem with the lipo alarm on my 450 over the winter months but was only flying in normal mode, even tried on a new batt & it still did the same thing. so Batt wasn't the problem...

ive since taken off the lipo alarm & now only fly in stunt mode & they now seem to be getting better & flying for longer... dunno why.? they are only tenner cheapo things anyhow & have now had over 50 charges each so cant complain i guess.
            Flying Since : Feb 2009

Cyclopops has not specified what is lipo alarm. Some have programmable voltage signal to adjust individually to the style and type of flying Akku.

Otherwise it will react to strong akku (eg. 2500 mAh), otherwise the old or weak.
I use this where I can choose three different voltage levels.
