  • ~advice For Trex 450se Gf~

Hi I've just recently built a new TREX 450 SE GF, I'm a newbie and first time flying a TREX.

Can anyone offer any setup tips? Preferably for docile hovering, basic flight.

    Cheers
    ~JASON~

Finless Bobs vids over on Helifreak go over all the stuff for the trex's .... ya have to register but its free ...to make it more docile ... 50% on dual rates and dial some expo in to make it less twitchy ... about -23 to - 27& should do it ....

Strongly suggest you get yourself Phoenix as this is a good start to flying.
Assuming you haven't flown this heli I would suggest getting someone to test it for you.
450's are very powerfull little heli's & if you understand throttle & pitch curves you will need to tame it within the curves.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

if you are not in a club it i would strongly suggest find one as you will get loads of help with the setup make sure you set things up mechanically as near as they should be before adjusting the tx . set the pitch at no more than +7 -7 and max throttle 80%
make sure you set the esc to soft start.pitch and throttle curves you'll need to i'll leave tht to someone else

I would set the negative pitch a lot lower, possibly even 0 degrees on negative, saves boom strikes from dropping the stick too quickly trying to land and whacking it into the ground.

I speak from experience, new booms, new blades, new stabs all too regularly
