  • Tail Blade Pitch for Heading Hold Help

    Hello All,

I am getting a HH Gyro soon (Thanks to heliward0)

and need some guidence in setting up the tail blades, seeing as Rate Gyros require pitch on the blades,

Am i right in thinking that once i get the gyro installed i can centre the blade pitch so both blades have 0 Pitch at center rudder?

If its the one im thinking off then its not the best but will be far better than the one your currently using in the Belt CP. Technically you can just setup for centre of travel. That will mean setting the servo arm at 90 and adjusting so you have zero on the tail blades. I would however setup rate mode and add a little pitch to compensate. Just fly it and move the servo/adjust the linkage until it hovers with the tail straight. It will make the gyros life easier in HH.
