On closer inspection are all the ball joints free and move easily, the ball joints are all firmly in place, are any of the CNC parts look badly machined, are all the screws lock tightened into all the head components, check for any slop from the top down, it's sometimes amazing the simplest thing thats over looked can cause head scratching probs.

I know on the twister 3D the feathering shaft needs careful adjustment so equal amounts of hex tool twists are equal, could it be perhaps one side of the F/Shaft is possibly screwed in a turn or two more then the other?

Anythings worth checking, I mentioned the F/Shaft as someone I know mentioned this, and it's something that needs special attention, so I'm just passing on the advise on that part.

Cheers for getting back and i appoligise for not responding sooner.....its 1.39am and i've just finished checking it out......no the blades were just nicely tightened down not too slack tight etc........and cambs flyer yes good advice also which i went through.......i finally found what was at fault in the end and at first i thought that the vibration was coming from the centre of the heli but after close inspection of the tail blades and tail blade holders , i found that from the off yes the blades were rotating in the right direction BUT instead of leading from the front edge of the blades first NO it was the ball/links that were rotating first "leading" and this is what was causing the vibration of which i have had for ever but thought is was mainly down to the gyro and could never run it high enough so put it down to the (nicely priced) HL400.

So i put it all back the way it should have been done from the off and vualla no more vibration or none that i could see running it up on my make shift turn table (appoliges to the missis for knicking the heavy duty chopping board)........Sooooooo any way here is where it gets interesting / funny!! (for you all that is ) plus of recent times someone who i can't remember of the top of my head has started a thread about the stupidest thing ones done etc........well this can be mk'd down as one of those moments......so now effectively the blades are running in reverse and i can't for the life of me fathum it out (very sleepy at this point in time 4 hours into it) and i'm runnin it up and rapping my knuckles on the tail blades at half chat and again at the elbow F/me it hurt and picture this the dam things spinning out of control because plonker needs to now reverse the rudder servo.....and i was moving the tail further to the body and then trying again and it spun even faster to the left DOH........anyway its done now lol though if it was the best day of year tomorrow i dare say i couldn't probably make it as i feel i've been ten rounds with told Tyson!!

Well OK that's a result, I was going to mention the tail next, as I had loads of issues there a while back.

I'd for safety's sake double check everything in the light of day.

Just as a matter of caution always check none of the ball links are coming loose now you have the alloy head, I'm sure what you screwed in was thread lock tightened, but the parts that were preasembled don't take it for granted they were too, even if it takes an hour out of your day knowing everythings as it should be makes for some piece of mind flying.

Fingers crossed for you Bro, lets hope in the "later" morning hours there's none of the white stuff, and the winds have died down.

Yep had our first coating and the good news is its not windy...lol.
One of the bad designs on the T3ds is that the botton dead bolt nylock fits flush into a counter sunk recess which is in the form of the same shape as the nut , and when you start to unscrew it the nut just turns within the plastic recess and because its countersunk and just about flush you can't get anything on to it to hold it and it just spins

I got to laugh if i didn't/wasn't crying that is because the oe head which is on show has a surface mounted nylock and you can argue the fact that thats just as importent not to come of or that it may upset the balance some what.

P.S. I forgot to add previously that i was also attact on the left nipple Ouch!! like joggers nipple with having to do the jogging.

              Hell yea ohh ouch.

Again I'm sure I'm preaching to the wise, But I've every sort of plier, hex, screwdriver possibly made in different sizes, it's amazing what can aid difficult repairs or upgrades.

Like the Rota Head, I always hold the part in a small pair of pliers and have two 2100mah's under the rear skids and put a book in front of the skids with the blades off that way you can position the part so it goes in on a upward position which helps not loosing small washers & spacers.

I've been out for a little spin lol and its still got this vibration and for what ever reason as it makes good head speed at hover its totally spinning a
round on itself and more......plus i checked Chris's model to find out that what i said about the blade holders being the wrong way round was incorrect sighting how his rear dlade holders are put together...........so back to the drawing board on both problems now.....(vibration + rear tail servo/gyro orientation!!).

Also the tail blades go anti clockwise while the main Rotas turn clockwise, so have the front of the tail blades face backwards, and place each blade while the blade grip is in the up position, as it's quite easy to balls it up, I have in the past, but you never do it again there after.

I'm not pointing out the Brantley obvious mate, just the simpler things first.

Thats a good point as it happends? when i bought the cnc head hub i noticed there were 2 rubber o-rings in the kit which i have fit as the recess where they fit is deep enough to fit them! but i'm now thinking were the extra 2 just spares because the standard plastic head hob only had one pair fit and not 2 pairs........i fit both pairs because there was a gap and some play when i only had just the one pair in place.....Could someone who has already fit the cnc head hub give me a clue to if i should have one pair of dampers in or both pair please.

I'm thinking that having both pairs fit will not let the blades track properly as it makes the blade holders too tight in the hub..........i'm thinking this because when trying to track the blade "early" this morning they wouldn't track properly , half a turn one way or the other made one blade higher than the other which i thought wasn't right at the time......i'll try just the one pair in a bit but other than that i'm all out of idea's other than thinking that the head hub i've bought is out of true as thats the only recent alteration i've "just" made before the vibration and inbalance started as everything else (main shaft-tail output shaft etc) has been either changed or adjusted.
