    having a couple off thoughts

    1. my bitsa off a align 450 is running a V1 head running 325 pro blades using a 13th pinion but still using a 25amp with the 430l motor, as my flying is progressing into circuits im running it 100% throttle yesterday should i stick the 35a esc in as im running the larger blades. using 3s 2100 & 3s 2200 lipos

    2. if a model is sitting around with the blades sitting in its holder will this have any effect on the dampers at all, my 600 and rappy been sitting in the cupboard not used since April, is it worth changing the dampers as well as usual maintence before flying

    thanks

For the sake of a few quid I would change the dampners Kev .. Better safe than boom strike

Cant beat to have a larger Escape in ... Fly it with the 25 , bring it down and feel how warm it is m8e .. That should give you an idea of how much power is pulling through it ... Or just change it now and then see ...

I run a brushless set up on my twinjet and that pulls a hell of alot out the escapes and battery , but my battery is warm too touch ... I think as long as its warm and not too hot then you should not have too many problems .. You could always change it ......

If you do get the XL you will definately need a 35A ESC or better as the 430XL draws up to 35Amps.

I ran the 25A ESC in my x400 and when I increaded the head speed the ESc kept going in to slow shutdown, so after a bit I got a sudden head speed drop.

Upgrade the ESC but only change the motor when you really need the power.

alternatively if oyu are changing both motor and ESC then get the scorpion -8 or -6 and the 55A ESC which are good value.

one thing i need to check is the head speed dont know what speed its actually running at, running very nice but seems to be lacking in fast foward flight, might just be my flying.........
