  • T-Rex 450se V2 Tail drift

    Hi!

Just been out with my T-Rex 450se V2.

Everythings fine, but I noticed that the tail slowly drifts to the left while hovering tail in. I am using a Lt 2100 Gyro and futaba 9650 on the tail and I'm happy everythings set ok.

Am I right in thinking I need to slide the gyro along the tail a little to correct this?

Also what is it with the sodding weather lol, It cleared up and the sun was fair scorching as I sat here at the pc. I go out for the first flight and come in to change battery and it starts raining again from a clear sky!!

Also I am almost able to hover at 90 degress left and right in a box about a foot square I'm slowly working my way around left and right to nose in

Its easy to hover nose in on Phoenix sim lol but I'm in no rush to do it for real. Taking it nice and steady and that way I keep my repairs to a minimum

I don't know anything about the gyro in question but does it have a Heading hold mode?
    Is it set to HH?
Also excessive vibration can cause the tail to drift.

Yes its in HH mode. And theres no Vibration, everything is balanced nicely

Its probably needing the tail servo position sorting out, I'll check it again tommorrow if we get a dry spell...........

Well I watched the Lt2100t setup vids on youtube so i'll adjust the servo position on the boom in rate mode then reset the servo travel endpoints and that should be it

Well the Scottish weather struck again, if its not raining it's blowing a gale! I'll try and get this sorted during the week!
