  • Taranis open tx config trex 450 sport

    hi all

    first post

    need some help guys

just brought a trex 450 FB, sport, and need help setting up the tx (taranis) with ccpm set up and and configure any of the members have experience of taranis and open tx companion

this is my first trex 450 want to set up 4 flight modes, training, standard, and advanced, need to set up fixed pitch as well

i would like to be set-up for novice flyer who is moving from fixed pitch to collective pitch

one thing i have seen on the vids which i would like it what i refer is PANIC mode, where the heli slowly sinks on throttle shut off

looking for step by step guides on setting up helis on a taranis systems or even a step by step vid

can anyone help, i am willing to give remote access to open tx companion to help with config,

Firstly, I wouldn't recommend having a 'fixed pitch' setting, as your 450 needs variable pitch to move up and down, unlike your fixed pitch Heli uses the speed of the rotors.

Nip over to helifreak and read this: CCPM for Taranis - HeliFreak

There's a template .eepe in the post you can load into companion (or onto your Taranis) and have a play with.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

I wouldnt even bother with companion... There should be a ccpm template already in the transmitter. Switches you will need to setup manually. Pretty easy to do when its in front of you but quite difficult to explain in a thread without writing an essay
Youtube has some good videos or rcgroups if the helfreak link above dont explain everything.
