OPTIPOWER ULTRA Guard 430 COMBO loose pins in the connector

Does anyone else have a problem with the connector pins coming out of the case when plugging into the flybarless unit?

I have 4 and two of them do this.

Is there any way to get them to stay in properly?

Pull the pins, and put them in a new servo housing?

If that doesn't work, you could always crimp on a new connector. The tool isn't that expensive if you don't have one, and it's incredibly useful to have. I use mine at least once every build.

I had this problem with my first optiguard - I found in my case the problem was there was too much insulation on the wires to allow the pins to fully click into the plastic housing.

To fix the problem all I did was remove the pins, and just remove 1-2mm of insulation from the wires where the pin is, reinsert and problem solved. I used a Stanley knife - very carefully!

Never happened to me - but then I tend to plug them in once and them leave them there. Are you regularly disconnecting them?

Nope, once, plug and forget.

Opti have the best warranty in the business, just send it back and my guess is Andy will send a new one straight back.
However if it's just the plug coming out maybe do as I do and use shoe go to hold all the connections in.

For the sake of a new connector I don't think its worth sending them back, I think I'll try taking a little bit of the insulation off or making up new ends.

change the connector. a bag of 5 plug kits is only a couple of quid from memory
