  • Tm1100 and gpro binding

Basically I've got it wired up using my ar8000 and gpro, I know that the gpro is bound to the transmitter through the software but do I have to have the tm1100 in bind mode by holding th button with the stylus at the same time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated also I've got the Bluetooth module on the gpro and am attempting to set it up that way as I don't use a windows computer but can get access if nessecary to set it all up
    thanks

Yes, the TM1100 has to be bound to the Tx (by pressing it's button during power up) simultaneously along with the receiver. You might need more than two hands to do this!

Some months ago I was asking same question can I leave bluetooth plugged in but never got replies, since then I've made two mistakes & realised before flight, 1 was not dicoonecting lipo & reconnecting after parameter adjustment the 2 was leaving the Bluetooth active with my tablet.
I did find one thread on another forum that mention Align advise not to keep it plugged in if in an area of Bluetooth devices.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

I usually run satellites on my FBL controllers. If you are running a regular receiver then you don't have to bind the FBL controller to anything. All you have to do is bind the receiver and TM1000 to the Tx as per normal Spektrum process (receiver doesn't even have to be connected to the FBL controller).

So to bind when using a standard receiver:
          • Put the bind plug in the receiver.
          • Press and hold the bind button on the TM1100
          • Power up the receiver then release the TM1100 button
          • Power up the Tx in bind mode (don't have Tx too close to Rx )
          • Wait for the Rx LED to go solid and for the Tx to acknowledge the bind, power down and remove the bind plug

So that will be your receiver and TM1100 bound to the Tx... you can now set up your FBL unit.

If using satellites it's a bit different because you have to use the FBL controllers own bind process, which varies per brand of FBL controller.

Right I get that bit fine but the problem is that the tm1100 data lead goes into the data/bind plug on the ar8000 so I cantput a bind plug in that port does his mean I've gotta do them one at a time?

Hello Tom If binding AR8000 and TM1100 connect both and just push the TM1100 button, no need for bind plug on the receiver....

Good point!.. You can also plug the TM1100 into any other free port on the Rx and it will work for binding purposes, leaving the bind plug slot free to use the bind plug instead of the button. But quite right, you don't need both plug and button.

We'll that makes life a lot easier since I've stuck the tm1100 to the outside of the frame so if was easier to get to the bind button so I can just hold the button down with the stylus
thanks for all the help it's greatly appreciated I'm just looking forward to actually flying the heli the mrs keeps dragging me off shopping or something boring like that every time I try to finish off the heli setup
