    Hi guys

looking at some Carbon fiber blades for my 200 Srx. Seen some with 6 and 8 degree. Anyone bought them and what difference between the two?

Hi,dont know anything about blade 200,but the 8 degree blade will give you more pitch over the 6 degree one, which will make it more positive

I read a review of the 200 SRX recently that mentioned how tame it is with the standard blade pitch. I guess to keep it beginner friendly. An extra 2 degrees of pitch would probably make it a fair bit more aggressive on the throttle, which is probably not what you want at this point.

            Hey buddy.

In the blades description it mentions the benefits between each blade.
As the model is fixed pitch, you rely on throttle only to ascend and decent, the blades have the pitch in them already so just spin faster or slower to go up & down.
Running the 6 degree blades will require more rotor rpm to produce the same amount of lift as the 8 degree, the knock on effect of this higher head speed is a more stable model. However, with higher head speed comes a more agile rotor disk, so make use of your dual rates and exponential to soften the cyclic as necessary.

If however hovering is where you are at present, the 8 degree blades may be better. As they will require less rpm to produce the same lift, meaning your flight times will be longer, which is handy when learning. Also the slower rotor rpm will produce less damage if you have a slip up.
            .

Cool ice you're a gent. I was trying to find the meaning of the terms. Admittedly I didn't check description to well. From what you've said makes sense. I think I will go with the 8 degree as I'm only learning at present. Then maybe invest in the 6 degree once I'm more confident.

              Thank you very much

                Hey Buddy.

                No problem, you're very welcome.

Many years ago I used to fly a Century Hummingbird when I was sponsored by CenturyUK/US, which was also fixed pitch and the trick we did on these models was to cut 1 ~ 2 cms off the blade length. This had the same effect as the different blade angles, the reduced lift increased rotor rpm so they became more nimble.
                So much fun they were.

Sound like a proper pilot. Hopefully one day I'll fly right. Don't think I'll mess with blades quite yet lol thanks again
