as the title says, ive plugged my new 3gx in as the manual says, the esc has a bec output so theres nothing on the battery port, im using a satellite reviever and theres not lights on the 3gx at all. the radio says it has bound but nothing happens after i remove the bind plug. i get a little beeping noise when i plug the battery in and the satellite flashes when the bind plug is in but once its bound theres nothing t all

The lights on the satellites should go solid if they have bound. if they go off then the bind has failed, which would explain why the 3GX doesn't come to life.
Sometimes binding problems are down to the Tx being too close, move the several ft away and give it another go. If it still doesn't work try binding to a different memory in the Tx model list.Goblin Kraken, SoXos Strike 7, XLPower Specter, Goblin Black Thunder T, Goblin 700 Speed, Goblin 770 Comp Carbon, Trex 700X, Kasama Dune, Henseleit TDR

Hey buddy.
Just spotted you twigged a single sat needs to go into SAT2, why I do not know but it's a quirk we found out when using only one sat.
Any questions fire away, I've got lots of experience of the 3GX.

right so ive been messing wit it tonight now ive got a pitch gauge and swash plate leveler trying to get into dir mode, it enters the mode fine with the status light and dir light lit up, but the servos jump everytime and i cant move them by hand at all but the will move when i try it on the dx8, ive double and triple cheched my wiring against the diagram in the manual(trex 450l dominator by the way) and im 100% sure ive done it right, white wire to the top on the gyro, my understanding is that the servos shouldnt move other than with the dx8 when entering dir mode?
thanks

This guy has a kind of distinctive presenting style
but without his vids, I'd never have worked out how to program a 3GX. Worth a watch ..

Have to say, I never felt comfortable with the 3GX setup and moved onto easier FBL units in time ...Tom

Yea I was doing by following his videos ha, I've sorted it now anyway, when I installed the servos I moved them slightly the jumping was just them 'zeroing' themselves so needed to remove the linkages and put the arms back on at 90 degrees
