gyro help needed

im setting up my spartan quark, but having the following issues, i follow the instruction booklet and the youtube set up but, i cant get it to go into the endpoint phase and finally when i power down and back up the ds520 tail servo will only go one way regardless of what ever direction i move the stick ive tested the servo on the bench and all is fine, any ideas guys
