    Always check your canopy is secure!!!!!

    Unclipped the rc booya quick release clips on the canopy to free up the main gear... Job done... started the heli and spooled her up...

    Managed to take off - do some piro's - circuits & lazy 8's - a big loop followed by an inside/outside figure eight loop - then coming out of a travelling flip and... BOOM !!!!

    ...seems I forgot to re-attach the canopy clips prior to takeoff....

    I've seen loose canopies come free and absolutely destroy a heli in flight... so I felt very very lucky indeed to be able to land without further incident.

    Seems the frame clip under canopy kept it from detaching completely and ultimately saved my heli...

    Note to self... from now on ALWAYS check canopy is secure.

    When I was speed running a logo 600 carbon in mid air the canopy literally got sucked off. Missed everything, no damage couldn't believe it. Logged 112mph on the flight as it happened!!

      This makes me happy that I have thumb screws on my 600 xD

        Mine were magnetic mounts, removed them after that went to Booya.

          I'm looking to put thumb screws on next, since I don't normally need to remove the canopy at all between flights...

            I've got a couple of helis with thumbscrews and there's always one or two falling out when only done by hand...have to use a screwdriver to get them dogged enough. Has got to the point that i make my own thumbscrews now 'cos they're a silly price.

                If that was me.......... well you saw the results before LOL

                  It really shook me Kev... I was shaking whilst bringing it in to land.

                  Remember I had a problem with it cutting out and having to auto... Well one new engine and approx 15 flights later I'd just got the heli flying beautiful then all of a sudden I see bits of my canopy disintegrate through the blades.. It was 2 or 3 seconds until I realised I was still in control.

                    Aye youll soon start to not panic! Although when my vibe 50 threw a tail blade I couldnt find throttle hold fer a few secs! finger furiously searching for the switch LOL

                    Like I said, why panic its gonna crash anyway!
