  • Permission to use a field

Just wondering if anyone in the North East would be able to give me some advice? I want to get permission to fly over a piece of land that looks perfect. It's away from roads people and the local wildlife reserve. The farms and houses nearby don't have anything to do with it from what I can tell from a few phone calls.

I think it's part of the Rising Sun County Park, but I'm not too sure. Has anyone ever contacted a farmer to seek permission to fly from their land? Any advice you can give or places to avoid etc?

As above find out who owns it and pop the question. When I set up the Inskip site, I took a heli with me so they could see what we would be flying. But be courteous and if the place restrictions on you make sure you stick to them. Never a good thing to be on the wrong side of the land owners
Some say my left nipple is the shape of a Raptor canopy.......... And that for fun I chase sheep in wellies 3 sizes too big. All I know is I am 3D Clod

Its where you take off from and land which is important.

You do not need the landowners permission to fly over

I was flying my hell over a field when the landowner, farm manager, farmer & gamekeeper parked up next to me.
I landed & thought now may be a good time to ask for permission to fly on their land (must say previous gamekeepers said they didn't give a sh+t & it would be OK to fly there) The farmer said I could fly anytime I liked coz I was doing a good job "keeping them fu#king woodpidgeons & grouse off his crops"
So I'm now officially classed a bird scarer! lol.
I also have permission to fly off the village footy field after asking my neighbour who happened to buy the land for village use & her say is gospel round here. Always best to ask permission, then if it ever got tits up insurance should be ok.

if the farmer shoots you down with his gun he can be prosicuted under the ano

but its best to get permission

If he wants to be nasty he could refuse to let you have the model back. This happened to a friend but after a lot of pleading and promising not to fly over his land again he did give it back.
