Well a great day today, a bit wet but great nontheless.
Jamiem brought the 700 turbine, wow. All I've got to say is what a work of art. So well designed and put together, an awesome job. Jamie flew it in a very spirited fashion with some superb smooth 3D. Following this he took to the sky with the Goblin. Superb flying Jamie.
My mate Chris took his B cert today with Jason Platts and Jamie, he passed and I would like to say a massive well done Chris and thanks Jason for making him stick to it, and thanks Jamie for being the other examiner.
Swale has entertained us all day with some excellent flying, with the Extreme, Goblin, Velo 90. The extreme coming towards the flightline inverted and getting bigger by the minute is slightly unnerving, it's massive. Guy (Gate88) shouting down a loud haler every time Swale lands, "Is that all it does". Priceless
Mat T has been flying superbly all day, flew Rachels Rave and an awesome display.
Connor putting on a good show with the 700E, as only he can. Only thing is Connor, it needs to be Loweeerrrrrr!!!!
Jason was flying the Whiplash I think, I didn't think he was ever going to land, he was out there long enough that he came back with stubble. I've got so used to the flight times of electric. We must all sadly mourn the passing of Jasons beloved sandals, the mud was just too much for them
Only a few showers, one particularly heavy. But as always the show goes on and although the ground is wet and parking is, "ahem" soft! It hasn't bothered anyone. For some of you thinking of whether to come tomorrow or not, the weather is the same as today and whats the worst that can happen, you get a slightly muddy under carriage. Put some wellies in the car alongside your heli and we'll see you tomorrow. You never know you might win some of the fantastic prizes on offer in the raffle. Our sponsors for the raffle have always been generous but this year I was shocked at whats on the list. I've taken some photos and I'll post a bit later.Last edited by waveydavey; 07-07-2012, 08:36 PM.

What a day
It really is an event everyone should try and get to at some point! I had around 10 flights, flew the Goblin which was faultless, as was the 700 Turbine and 550. Saw some great flights, lots of "young guns" giving it serious big guns, well impressed! Swale certainly spanked the crap out of everything in his impressive fleet, some nice flying there pal
Laurence flew the 130x very well, looks like a great little Heli!
I won't name everyone, it would take me too long to try and remember you all, but needless to say it was a great day, superb facilities that would surely rival those at any club in the country, and nice to meet loads of new faces, and some familiar old ones (Guy shouting at Swale down the loud hailer was priceless!). I'll definitely be back next year

The track itself is solid, no problems there, the parking is mostly along the bottom section of the track, just a simple pull off to your right onto mostly grass, not too much soft ground there, just take care if you've got low clearance as you pull off. Let the guys know if you have a concern and they will do their best to find you a good spot to use.Originally posted by Mike W View PostAny problems with getting cars up the track ? . Also no problems driving right up to the flight line area to unload, but no room to park up there so we can keep it free for everyone else to drive up and drop off.
