That's because they work and are logical. It's simple stuff like pressing a number on a web page/email/text message and an iphone asks if you want to call them, S3 god knows what it wants to do if you try that. Any one tried copy and paste in a S3, highlight the text, now which button do I click at the top of the screen err this one, nope try again and again. It's really frustrating as the icons don't look like you expect. iPhone hold your finger on the text, select what you want to copy, it asks if you want to copy it and then click where you want to put it and it says 'paste'. Now how easy is that. No wonder the manual for the S3 is so damn big.

Can you tell I really like my new phone. :)

Can't deny the screen size is great on my S3 LTE but funtionality wise I'm getting sick of it fast, as Supa Koopa says, so many things are over complicated (text selection, trying to pin point editing text area & copy/paste etc)

I think my S3 & 64Gb Card will be going up for sale & an iPhone 5 64Gb getting purchased instead ;)

I have an iPhone 4S (home phone) and an S2 (work phone). There are issues with the iPhone (no ability to add an SD card for example) but for me, it just works. It also tends to have better apps: Android ones tend to be later, more buggy and (worst of all) have been infected with adware, etc. You make a choice between a closed (Apple) platform which is slick but restricted and an open one (Android) which is less slick but allows you more access to change things.

I've used an S3, but I didn't get on with it - for one thing, the screen is so big it's near-impossible to use one-handed - it was quite a stretch to get my thumb to the top-left corner. The screen looks great, but it was simply too big for me.

My my, a none hating iPhone thread. How nice is that. Love my iPhone 5. Works fantastic and very fluid. Watched my other half with her much more powerful s3 and it just looks so clunky. iPhone every day.

Must admit it would be nice, but have a panel so no real need for it.

funny one of my club mates was trying to do this on Sat on a S3, and yep it seemed to be a faff.

This has been debated to death on lots of forums, and unfortunately there is no definitive answer to which is best. You will always get two answers to the same question. It's the old nitro vs electric question, my S3 with chrome, Tapatalk and swift key rocks. I can even copy and paste with no hassle, tap a telephone number and it calls it. I have tried iPhone but I felt very restricted, but thats personal choice only.

I couldn't get the vbar application to work on my S3 until I realised I needed to turn the helicopter on. That's not the phones fault but operator error.

Both are good but in different ways.

Even though I'm an iPhone 5 User now, I'll always keep Android nearby on a tablet for the purpose of using pen testing tools (dSploit for example) and as well as the vbar app.

I'm a die hard iPhone user but I think the 5 was a let down. Unless apple do something significant and pioneering in their next handset, I think I'll be looking elsewhere....

(it hurt me to say that)

I thought that, but thinking about it more, I don't think so.

In a way it's a good thing. Apple tends to add things that people are going to use. They neglected NFC - In reality who would actually use that? It's still too early in my opinion.

Not only that - but for me, I'd still get a sense my phone is still good. For example with Android etc, You'll get a Dual Core phone, and a couple of months later they'll release a Quad Core and you're left thinking your phone is severely underpowered and left behind.

Iphone: Better build quality, better service from apple, very simple to use, work well/slick interface, higher resale values

Samsung: Bigger screens, Better value for money, More menus/options/settings available to the user, "less tied in" i.e. you can actually use FLASH on it etc, still good resale value relative to initial cost.

Both phones made in the same factory, in China.

                            Take your pick.

Is this something else to think about right now...

4g is not in my area yet, but I am on Vodafone, and have to stay with them for another year.

4g is only available on an iphone through ee

The iPhone 5 will not work on 4g with other providers :(

Dont worry about it, just use on 3g until voda launch their 4g later this year ;)
